A haunting reminder of the tragedy. Vast amounts of lives lost and it happened during terrible wars. Remembering the human lives, as many of them were young men who were sent into war. At first they believed it was glorious, and they felt happy to go into battle like their heroes of stories. But they never knew the horrors that would face them as war was not the same as it used to be. Long gone are times when soldiers met on a battlefield armed and ready. They didn't anticipate horrific machines that slaughtered so many.
Also please don't forget the animals who lost their lives during warfare. It's heart breaking. I've no more words.
