The werewolf of Norfolk

Way back in 2006 a motorist was travelling along the road at the A1067 when he saw something very curious. He arrived at the lane between Fakenham and Norwich and he had been out into town for some entertainment and enjoyed watching a film in the cinema. As he was driving, he noticed the road was quiet and so something startled him. At the side of the road, was a large animal eating a carcass, that he wanted to look at and slowed down. He described the animal as being a large black wolf with shining yellow eyes. It's fur appeared matted and there was something eerily human about it. The wolf looked at him for a moment, giving him cold eye contact, then it resumed eating. He was so terrified of the encounter, and he went home shaking in fear. This is one of many multiple sightings of strange wolves and werewolves seen around Britain.

Pricolici

The "Pricolici" is a creature from Romanian legend, that is a type of wolf who can shapeshift. It's abilities include turning into humans and other animals. These things are believe to be undead, or entities that are angry human ghosts in wolf forms. They were once people in life, who did evil and after they died, they rose up from the grave because of unknown dark magic. Then their urges to kill people make them terrifying. They would be ghosts of angry evil people in the shape of wolves, and not appearing as rotten wolf zombies.

Also it's thought that the people who return as Pricolici were once werewolves in life, but also returning from the grave to continue their horrors with much more fear as they've got paranormal abilities. It's also interesting that the Pricolici are vampiric in nature. It's often them who turn into dogs, bats, humans and owls.

It must be pointed out that those living in rural pars of Romania have escaped being attacked by large wolves (lone wolves attacking people is more commonly thought to be Pricolici instead of a wild pack of wolves). The single wolves attacking people are believed they are werewolves or Pricolici because it always happens at night, and these loner wolves are very big, larger than average pack of regular wolves. The lone wolves who attack people are also quiet, as they choose a target and stalk them. It's been noted that survivors of these attacks by large loner wolves have described them as more scary than a pack of wolves and there was something supernatural about them.

Tatzelwurm

The Tatzelwurm is a legendary creature from the Alpine regions of central Europe. It's described as being a type of dragon, looking like a serpent, a feline chimera or an Asian dragon. The beast known as a Tatzelwurm has got four stunted limbs, a long snake-like body covered in scales and a catlike face. It hisses or makes highly pitched noises, whistles and shrieks. The monster's venomous breathe can kill. The name itself "Tatzelwurm" is Swiss to mean tunnel dragon. In Austria it's known as Bergstutz "Mountain stump" and in the French alps it's called "arassas", the "cat headed" lizard.

Monsters fitting the description were reported in various regions about the alps, many during the 17th century. More sightings happened in the 18th century and a farmer suffered a heart attack after witnessing two of these beasts. During the 19th century, a school teacher reported seeing one but there were some who also said they found one dead, but there was a bounty of finding them. Some said the Tatzelwurm drank milk from the udders of cows, so they placed a white rooster near the cows that warded off the dragon.

It didn't disappear, as some claimed a Tatzelwurm skeleton was found and sent to the Geneva Institute of Science in the 1900's. During the mid 20th century, a Swiss photographer claimed he'd taken a picture of the Tatzelwurm although many think it's a hoax. A girl working on a farm in Switzerland found a home in the ground of a Tatzelwurm, that appeared greyish and snakelike with two front legs and it was the size of a domestic cat.

Cryptid news November

Google Earth has picked up a large unidentified sea creature near a boat near Antarctica. Watch it on the Unexplained Mysteries page HERE.

Here is a clip of a Bigfoot sighting made a month ago in Colorado. It was filmed from a train. Youtube Clip of Bigfoot taken from a train in Colorado.

Although called a "mermaid" this creature is anything but beautiful. It's a mummified grotesque and recent X-rays and CT scans revealed it's got the upper body of a monkey, the hands of a reptile, and lower body of a fish. First found in the 19th century near Fiji by a sailor, who took it to the United States, it was displayed in sideshows and ended up in the Barnum's American Museum. Later it was soon passed around to the Clark County Historical Society, Ohio in 1906. For more on that go to the Wikipedia article HERE.
