Rabbit monsters

Now that Easter holidays have started, I want to mention some of the rabbit monsters and creatures. In ancient Egypt, there was Bak-en-Mut, a demon hare guardian. The goddess Wenet is rabbit headed, and called "the swift one", seen sitting beside a cobra and a crocodile in a fragment in The Book of the Dead. Wenet is guardian of the entrance to the Underworld, as mentioned in The Book of Thoth

Jackalopes are rabbits with antlers. Believed to be extinct, this is a cross between an antlered deer and a killer rabbit. They can imitate humans voices, as first reported by cowboys during the Old West. Many reports of jackalopes have been seen across the USA mostly in Wyoming. Sceptics believe that the creatures are actually disease infected rabbits with papillomatosis that causes hornlike growths on a rabbit's head.

A similar creature to the Jackalope is the Wolpertinger, seen in the alpine forests and southern Germany. This creature has wings, antlers, fangs and a long bushy tail.

Medieval drawings and art depict people getting attacked violently by large evil rabbits. To see a gallery of these ferocious images go and visit Dangerous Minds page "Attack of the killer rabbits!" HERE.

The rabbit or hare is a trickster figure in various folklore around the world. In Native American tales, there are rabbits who bring about the end of the world after destroying the sun. For more info on these incredible tales, visit Terri Windling article "The Folklore of rabbits and hares" .

Have a nice day!

A mongoose entity

Another strange spirit on the Isle of Man is a talking mongoose called Gef. It started in 1931 soon after the Irving family moved into a farm house called Doarlish Cashen. There were growling and scratching noises coming from behind the walls in the house. The owner of the house, Jim Irving, set up traps, assuming it was mice, rats or other sort of animal but this didn't work. The noises continued and soon it began to mimic the sounds that the Irvings made, responding to them, and making different animal noises. It didn't take long before Jim became disturbed when the creature behind the walls understood him. Whenever Jim mentioned a certain animal, the unseen thing behind the walls could make the sounds of that animal.

Jim's twelve year old daughter, named Voirrey, wanted to communicate with the hidden creature. She suggested some titles of nursery rhymes, and was startled when this thing spoke these rhymes in a squeaky voice. Then it introduced itself as "Gef" the "clever mongoose". Gef had dialogue with the family, and spoke clearly. Gef detailed its origins as being born in Dehli, India, in 1852, was killed and is "earthbound". Only Voirrey was allowed to see Gef, but her parents caught brief flashes of it. Voirrey said Gef was the size of a small rat with yellow fur and a bushy tail. Apparrantly there are photographs of Gef, and paw prints he made.

Gef managed to break from the house and explore outside, sitting on top of cars and busses. He always returned to the house by evening with stories about local gossip and newspaper articles. He was given food, and liked sausages, chocolate and biscuits. He only took it when nobody saw. Gef enjoyed singing along to music on radio. Gef could take on the form of a cat. Soon Gef became nasty, and called Jim and his wife Margaret names. He flung stones, sand, used foul language and knocked things over.

Gef has said incredible things too. He described himself as "the Holy Ghost" and "the eighth wonder of the world". He also announced that he "could split the atom". Gef said "I am a freak." More on what he said was creepy. "I am not evil, I could be if I wanted." Then Gef also said this: "I could kill you all if I wanted." Soon the Irving family left the farm house and never went back.

Moddey dhoo

On the Isle of Man, there is Peel Castle that was originally constructed by Vikings. It sits on the coastline overlooking the sea. Inside Peel Castle is ruins, a graveyard and the wooden fort by king Magnus Barefoot. The graves include one tomb of "The Pagan Lady" that contained silver coins and jewels. Some have considered that Peel Castle is the true site of Camelot. The most weirdest legend surrounding the Peel Castle is about a phantom black dog named Moddey dhoo.

Moddey dhoo is described as a shaggy black fur dog as big as a calf with glowing red eyes. It was said to appear at night throughout the castle and around the church yard. According to legend, it came from a secret passage connecting the castle with a place where captain of the guards once lived. This passage was soon closed up. Some people have reported seeing a strange phantom black dog in modern times, such as in fields and town outskirts.

This legendary creature was included in volume three of Tales of a Manx Preemie, called "The Black Dog of Peel Castle" by Kieran Metcalfe.

The creepiness of Lavender Town

Lavender Town is a location in the Pokemon universe, which is the darkest and scariest of all places of the beloved anime series. My very first exposure to Pokemon at all was back in the mid 1990's when news reports about an episode from the Japanese TV series called Pokemon caused epilepsy in children. That episode is called "Computer Warrior Porygon" and involves vibrating colours flashing blue and red. This was named "Pokemon shock" because of the vast number of kids going to hospital for seizures. Afterwards, that infamous episode was banned. Yet this event was said to be connected to a creepy pasta called "Lavender Town syndrome". It was a dark story about the music from Lavender Town causing bad things to happen among Japanese children. Although fictional, it was taken seriously enough for many to fear the Lavender Town tune itself. So what is this place? Lavender Town is haunted, and mainly a residential place for dead pokemons. There is a giant tomb called Lavender Tower where ghosts and mourners live! However, the eerie music of this spooky village is the same music score in Pokemon Go! Of course there are a number of paranormal stories attached with this game!

Enjoy your day!

What is the Smile Dog?

There is a lot of people talking about the Smile Dog, which is making them feel scared. I tried doing some research and couldn't find a lot, as I was often sent to YouTube videos, Reddit posts and internet memes. So what really is it? This is a picture, supposedly a photograph of a husky type dog with a wide humanlike grin, glowing white eyes and a very sinister background with a blood red hand. This image has given many people nightmares, enough for others to fear looking at this picture.

What I found is that there is Creepy Pasta horror story called "Smile Dog." The story begins with a panic stricken woman who owns a picture of this Smile Dog. Anyone who looks at the picture would be driven insane or possibly die. The story itself will be found in a link at the end of this post.

This dog creature is also a hellhound according to the Creepy Pasta files. This dog is male and intends to spread fright. It appears in people's dreams. It has the ability to transform its shape, and resembles a demon. Anything about it is unknown. Even the original author of the Smile Dog story is a mystery.

So the best thing to do is to show the picture and spread its terror. Similar to a chain letter, pass it around. This is the reaction amongst people who see it. This is a recent phenomena that has gripped many, along with other scary things like the Russian Sleep Experiment, Slender Man and Bloody Mary. I guess that the Smile Dog is going to be around for a very long time.

True creepy cave creatures

In the breathtaking beautiful landscape of the Velebit mountains in Croatia, is something far more creepy. There is a dark and eerie cave, which is home to a top underground predator, which is a massive centipede called Hades. Scientifically named Geophilus hadesi a centipede found 4,700 feet below the ground. Also found dwelling there deep underground is another type of centipede called Persephone. These two species of centipedes are able to thrive in deep underground darkness, which is why they've been named after the ruling god of the Underworld and his bride.

Another creepy creature found in caves underground of the Dinaric Alps are called an Olm or Cave Dragon. These are water salamanders that live in dark underground waters. They resemble the legendary wyrms of Medieval folklore. This creature appears completely deathly white and has no visible facial features, except a snakelike body, long thin nose, gills and limbs. They have no eyes. It's the biggest cave dwelling animal in Europe and they have a similar lifespan to humans! While they look quite scary, these animals are vital to the earth itself. It's been agreed that the caves of Europe are like tropical rainforests, filled with mysterious and important wildlife that need preserving.

There are so many more strange creatures found deep down in caves! These also include water scorpions, cave bats, crayfish that dwell in water underground, and also robber spiders. Talking of which, many explorers have found themselves with arachnophobia after being inside caves densely populated by billions of spiders!
