Peridot - Wolf of August
The birthstone of August is the Peridot. August is a time of harvest and holidays (especially here). For those who were born in August, the Peridot is considered a "lucky charm" to wear peridots and the peridot represents their birth month. Some realise that birthstones themselves are not always the same as the zodiac, which are seperate. There are zodiacal stones as well as birthstones. More on the stone
For those who were born in the month of August the Peridot is the traditional birthstone. The August birthstone poem reflects some of the properties with which the Peridot is associated - love, truth, faithfulness and loyalty. The Traditional Metaphysical Properties for the August Birthstone Peridot are fame, dignity, and protection. The "Peridot Wolf" might as well be the totem for this month, whoever was born in August, whether is is those born under Leo (23 July - 22 August) and Virgo (23 August - September 22) as both starsigns are found in the month of August and share the same birthstone.
August born Leo people are vibrant but snooty.
August born Virgo people are down-to-earth but finicky.
