Eels are often thought of as mere fish that look like snakes. No one thinks anymore of them, at least I never did before. Then I was given some info. "Eels are immortal". "Eels are aliens". "Eels have no reproductive organs". "Eels are magical". "Eels are interdimensional". "Young eels are invisible".
We all think we know about eels but these rumours floated about online and so I looked further into it. These are just eels, who live in water. Some eels are a delicacy such as jellied eels and eel pie in England, Unadon in Japan, and Anguilla alla bisentina of Italy. It has do be cooked with much caution. Blood of eels is toxic towards mammals especially humans. Raw eel consumption is deadly.
Eels are different to other animals because they can breathe through their skin, they've got fine scales. They can slide in and out of passages in water caverns, tunnels, caves and it's not just because of their slender snake-like forms. They're also covered in a mucus layer. Eels are very nocturnal and they often hide. These are predators and this is how they catch their prey. Certain eels such as the moray eels have two sets of jaws.
Their strange behaviour is that during an eels mating season, they all swim towards the Bermuda Triangle! That location, which is exactly at the Sargasso Sea is where they all reproduce. Many scientists have been confused about the eels migration over to the Bermuda Triangle during mating season. A test was made on a few captured eels that wanted to find out about their cycles. It was while they had mating season the eels turned and swam to the direction of the Bermuda Triangle. This is the case for eels in the Americas and Europe but some eels in other parts of the world don't travel there. No one knows why.
