Jenny Greenteeth

This is the name of an evil water spirit of English folklore. She would appear if a child stood close to the edge of a river or stream, and then pull them in. Jenny Greenteeth also drowned adults after dragging them into the water. Some children are terrified to get too near the river or a lake out of fear that Jenny Greenteeth will appear. Described as having a sickly green pallor, long hair and sharp teeth, Jenny Greenteeth is a frightening figure.
Another creature like Jenny Greenteeth is called Peg Powler. Her hair colour is green and she eats her victims. She's been described as looking like a beautiful maiden so that she could entice men to their watery graves. Peg Powler has been active during fog to hunt for her innocent victims.
Similar to both Jenny Greenteeth and Peg Powler is a supernatural creature called a grindylow. These are not human looking and they dwell in lakes, bogs, swamps and marshes. Their long arms pull children into the waters, according to scary folklore.
Stay away from the edge of the river.
